In the last month the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce headed by Thomas D Souza held a meeting with Bengaluru Mayor Smt Shanthakumari and discussed on the availability of space for the Kannada film posters.

The promise came from the Poojya Mayor to look in to the matter. What we hear now is the permanent closure of the T Junction hoarding place the most important spot for Kannada films to make publicity.

As many as 14 hoardings is the capacity of this particular spot. Kannada film posters were seen at this place close to railway line. It looks blank today because of the new development taking place.

The hoardings for each were in the range of Rs.50000 to Rs.2 lakhs per month at this place. The place of hoardings that actually belong to Railway department is now used for BBMP road works.

Just opposite to this T junction hoarding place there are possibilities for advertisement of Kannada films but they are now putting up commercial ads.

There is one more place on the way to T Junction = after Sujatha soon after signal light on right side petrol bunk top a very prominent one is also with no advertisements. This place is also one of the striking places for eyes.

Publicity is main focus of film makers today. The prominent places missing further weaken the Kannada films.
